AARP is fighting fraud in Idaho to protect the hard-earned money and retirement security of Idahoans and their loved ones. AARP is committed to helping people understand what a scam looks like, so if one comes along, they’ll be less likely to fall victim. Recognizing the growing threat from telephone and internet fraud, AARP set up the Fraud Watch Network in 2013. You can report a suspected scam and reach the Fraud Watch Network helpline by calling 877-908-3360 toll-free. Reach AARP Idaho directly at aarpid@aarp.org

Through its long standing business and community ties, Better Business Bureau Great West and Pacific is committed to providing resources and education to help fight fraud in Idaho. BBB Great West+Pacific, with national studies created by the International Association of Better Business Bureau, is dedicated to providing information to safeguard consumers and business owners from losing personal information and money. Our partnership with the Idaho Scam Jam Alliance allows BBB Great West+Pacific to reach all corners of Idaho ensures we can effectively fight fraud together.

Scams have a devastating impact on people throughout our Boise community and across our great state.  Through community partnerships, such as the Idaho Scam Jam Alliance, we are able to provide prevention education and support to those most effected.

​Created in 1905, the Idaho Department of Finance’s mission is to safeguard the financial health of Idahoans.  The Department strives to meet its mission through appropriate oversight of diverse financial institutions, the education and protection of consumers, and by fostering sensible innovation in the financial services market.

The mission of the Department of Insurance (DOI) is to serve and protect Idahoans by equitably, effectively and efficiently administering the Idaho Insurance Code and the International Fire Code. The DOI’s Consumer Affairs, Senior Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA), and Investigations sections work together to protect the public’s interest and ensure all participants (companies, producers, and consumers) are in compliance with the laws and rules that regulate the business of insurance in Idaho. If you suspect insurance fraud, or would like to file a complaint regarding insurance, please contact the DOI.

​The Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division enforces laws that protect the public and Idaho’s marketplace from deceptive business practices. We educate Idahoans about consumer protection laws and help people understand how they can better avoid scams.
